The Robbinsville Fire Department is a combination career/volunteer fire department located in Mercer County New Jersey.
Formed in 1963 as the Washington Volunteer Firemen as an all volunteer fire department it has evolved into a 24/7 career staffed department supplemented by a volunteer component still recognized as the Washington Volunteer Firemen.
The Robbinsville Fire Department is overseen by a Career Deputy Fire Chief and Five Career Captains. The Department performs fire suppression, inspection and rescue duties.
The Department operates Basic Life Support EMS Ambulances utilizing Robbinsville Township equipment staffed by Capital Health System employees.
Located in Central New Jersey, Robbinsville is a 21 square mile community of over 13,000 residents per the 2010 Census. The Department is responsible for Fire and Rescue Services on several major highways including the New Jersey Turnpike (Exit 7A), Interstate 195 and US Highways 130 and 33.

Currently, Amazon, the internet retail giant has their first New Jersey distribution facility under construction in Robbinsville. In addition, a four story hotel is currently under construction near Rt. I-195 and a Walgreens on Rt. 33.. Plans are currently in the works for two additional warehouses, one a spec warehouse and one to be occupied by an unnamed large tire manufacturer. Plans currently exist for a super WaWa also near Rt. I-195.
